I read once that someone worked out what the entire body count was in all of Quentin Tarantino movies and it was well over a thousand people killed. We can’t compete on that level for you, I’m afraid! But my favourite stuff is always the dark stuff. When I read the scripts for the first time that’s what I always lean towards and like to see included, because we need it more than other films need it. In terms of appealing to adult audiences who might not have read the books we do have a point to prove. It’s quite important to keep as much of the darkness as possible.
