 Daniel Radcliffe spoke to Total Film magazine recently about how odd it was for auditions to be taking place for his on-screen son for The Woman in Black, as well as how director James Watkins chose to work with an acting coach.
“We were doing auditions for my son yesterday which was bizarre," he said.
"But it’s very exciting and James Watkins is fantastic. He might kill me for telling you this, but he’s actually started working with an acting coach to give him a better idea of how to approach stuff with actors.
“Which is a brilliant thing – I don’t know of any other directors doing that. He’s inspired and we’re uncannily on the same page about the film. We met and we agreed that this film is not a scary movie but a film about loss and family and grief.”
Additionally, Dan's Harry Potter costar Ciarán Hinds has been cast in the The Woman in Black, where he will play an elderly statesman, Daily. |

 Daniel Radcliffe will begin filming of his upcoming supernatural thriller, The Woman in Black, on September 26, 2010. The production date was initially announced via Celebrity Bulletin, and confirmed by Hammer Films, the company behind the movie. The project will be shot at Pinewood studios, where many sequences of the Harry Potter films, including Deathly Hallows, were filmed. |

 Actor, writer, and host of comedy panel game television programme QI was interviewed recently by RadioTimes about why he asked Daniel Radcliffe to participate on show as a guest panelist in the H series for the Halloween special, to air October 29, 2010.
"He's a very bright chap and he has what it takes to be a guest on QI, which is to be curious. Because if you are curious, a) you will be interested by what's coming and you fire off it and b) in the rest of your life you will have garnered odd facts. Not in a sort of anal 'I collect trivia sort of way', but just because you are curious."
The H series of QI begins next Friday, September 17, on BBC One. Daniel's episode, the seventh in the series, will air October 29, 2010, two days before Halloween. |
